Watanabe Laboratory


The Watanabe Laboratory belongs to the Department of Systems and Social Informatics, Graduate School of Information Science, Nagoya University. In this laboratory, we conduct research with the goal of constructing collaborative support environments and communities that assist our intelligent activities that focus on fusing and aligning the real and virtual worlds. Based on this goal, we're focusing on the following themes:

  • Interfaces involving high-tech and high-touch using the five senses, and collaborative learning support environments.
  • A temporal and spatial information model and a geographic information system.
  • Parallel and distributed processing and information networks.
  • An intelligent transportation system and a recognizing and comprehending mechanism
